Inside Out Dad classes

Christlife Ministries is a recipient of the 2010-2011 Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Community Access Grant. This is a federal grant that was awarded to the District of Columbia and Colorado to promote fatherhood programs throughout the state.

Christlife Ministries is using these funds to teach fatherhood inside of Colorado state prison facilities. The curriculum that we are using is called Inside Out Dad. It teaches all aspects of fatherhood from the perspective of the incarcerated father. There are many worthwhile hints and activities that incarcerated fathers can use with their children while they are in prison as well as after their release. The advanced class includes writing a parole plan that includes the father's plan for being involved in his children's lives.

Currently, the fatherhood classes are offered at Youthful Offender Services in Pueblo, Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility in Olney Springs, and Trinidad Correctional Facility in Trinidad
