Inside Out Dad Program

Christlife Ministries is a recipient of the Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Community Access Grant since 2008. This is a federal grant that was awarded to the District of Columbia and Colorado to promote fatherhood programs throughout the state.

Christlife Ministries is using these funds to teach fatherhood inside of Colorado state prison facilities. The curriculum that we are using is called Inside Out Dad. It teaches all aspects of fatherhood from the perspective of the incarcerated father. There are many worthwhile hints and activities that incarcerated fathers can use with their children while they are in prison as well as after their release. The advanced class includes writing a parole plan that includes the father's plan for being involved in his children's lives.

Currently, the Youthful Offender System is offering these fatherhood classes as well as Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility and Trinidad Correctional Facility.
